As a Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) apprenticeship award recipient. Gee explains that this amazing opportunity offers students a chance to“earn while you learn”.  Over the past 18 years Gee has successfully mentored, and or recruited approximately 30 students from this program, and is more than pleased that 15 barbershops and beauty salons have started and successfully opened their doors from building their foundation at Gee’s Clippers. With a turn over of only two employees in 20 years it is fair to say that Gee has truly played a positive role in empowering, assisting, and leading the barbers and stylists in his community.

For the past 8 years Gee has had the pleasure of teaching students of all races and backgrounds various cutting styles and techniques. He continues to assist with bridging the “ethnic gap” that may prevent students and graduates the fortuity to gain employment in environments that will require them to work with a range of hair types and textures. He understands that students must be versatile and open to expanding their skill set and knowledge. His goal is to equip his proteges with an arsenal that will prepare them for success.  Groom Salon, Empire Beauty College, Aveda, and Waukesha County Technical College (WCTC) have all been embraced by Gee’s knowledge. Recently obtaining his  instructors license in barber and cosmetology; Gee continues to excel in his efforts to educated students.
